Cumra – Erentepe Milk Production Ranch

Making great investments in stockbreeding , which is the secondary sector, which supports its main area of activity, Konya Seker is one of the fastest growing institutions in milk-meat stockbreeding in Turkey.

Konya seker implements its stockbreeding activities in 7 different ranches with Cumra-Erentepe Milk Production Ranch, which was completed in 2016. At these ranches:

Sekersut Ranch, which has breedings form ilk stockbreeding was established in 2006. Breedings with high milk efficiency are bred at the ranch. In addition, activity in improvement of race in the region and Turkey is aimed through the transfer of embryos to be produced from male and female animals of high pedigree with high milk and meat yield with the embryo production center, founded in this center.

Founded to breed meat races with high yield in 2010, founding capacity of Tasagil is 4 thousand 860 cattle. Its capacity has been increased to 15 thousand cattle through the new investments and the ranch continues its fattening activities at full capacity.

Aslim breeding Angus Ranch, which began its activities in 2013, was founded to raise breeding anguses in their natural environment on a 6 million square meter area. Male anguses, born and raised at this ranch, have been sent to Eastern Anatolia in line with a Project of the Ministry of food, agriculture and livestockand are used as breeding bulls.

In addition, experiments have been made with anguses in different areas and elevations in Konya region. Studies, which increase adaptation of anguses to the region and minimize feding costs have been made during the experiments and successful results have been reached.

Gocu Ranch, which started its activities in 2013, has a low capacity and various feeding experiments related to better development of livestock are conducted at the Ranch and successful formulas, obtained as a result of the experiment, are also applied at other breeding farms.

Another ranch model of Konya Seker is Cattle Nursery. Called Cattlebank due to the model, applied by the ranchers, cattle at the ranch belong to the producers and high efficiency is targeted with collective care.

Konya Seker continues to support stockbreeding, which is its most important secondary sector,  with Cumra Erentepe Milk Production Ranch, it established under the roof of Pangev A.S., which is a Konya Seker participation.
