Seed Production and Processing Plant

Konya Seker’s activities, related to seed growing are carried out by Beta Ziraat A.S. The plant has been established to increase efficiency in production by producing seeds, which are suitable for the region and the climate of the region and increase welfare of farmers. While the plant decreases the foreign-source dependency of our country, it also contributes to farmers making production for seeds during the years, when the farmers do not plant beet, as an alternative product by contract and diversifying the incomes of farmers.

Hybrid sugar beet, hybrid corn, hybrid and standard vegetables, feed crops and grains are produced at the production facilities in Altinekin. Seed processing, covering and packaging processes are carried out at Altinekin campus. Improvement works also continue at the facility as Konya Seker and TUBITAK collaboration.
